We think you'll like working here and we’d like you to know a bit more about what we do and how we do it before you join us.

So take a look around this section of our site - you'll find all sorts of information about how we do business, what its like to work here and what you can expect when you join us.

Have a browse and make yourself at home...

We’ve come a long way since we started in 1993 and I’m very proud to be part of the business we’ve grown into today.

So what have we achieved in our short history? Well we’re already the UK’s 3rd largest network operator with over 200,000 business and public sector customers and more than over 350 wholesale partners nationwide.

Our Next Generation Network allows us to provide future proof competitive products and services to customers such Next, British Red Cross and Ticketmaster and we’ve won awards for our Customer Service Excellence.

Looking ahead to the future, we want to be the first choice for businesses across the UK when they’re choosing their applications and systems. Over the next few years our plan is very simple …..to GROW! We will GROW our customers, GROW our products and GROW our revenue!

But we know none of this would be possible without our people and that’s why we make sure that all our employee are given the opportunity to share in our short term and long term success via.an annual bonus (or commission) and sharesave scheme.

We also recognise that coming to work is more than just about money and that’s why we believe in creating a great place to work for everyone. There are lots of initiatives all year round including our annual Gathering and our Giving Something Back programme which gives every colleague the opportunity to take time out to work with local charities and support community projects.

So, you see, I have a lot to be proud of and now that you’re joining us, so will you!

We’re pretty informal here so when you’re passing my office, pop in and say ‘hello’.

Looking forward to working with you.

Charles Bligh
Managing Director

Any business is only ever as good as its people. That´s why we work so hard to find you. And when we’ve found you, we do whatever we can to help you carve out a happy and satisfying career. We aim to create a positive working atmosphere where employees respect and support each other.

After all, our people are our brand. When you talk to our customers, you’re speaking for us. And when you´re proud to be part of TalkTalk Business, it shows.

Anne’s story

I joined TalkTalk Business in 1998, following my eldest daughter, Sarah who worked in the Connections Department, Sarah now works for Talk Talk Technology in Irlam.  My youngest daughter, Elizabeth worked in Order Receipt and then moved into the Billing team.  My youngest child, Peter did his work experience at TalkTalk Business before going to college.  My second eldest daughter, Sue, was initially a Sales Trainer, and is now Customer Data & Sales System Analyst so TalkTalk Business has very much been a family affair for us.

When I joined I was employee number 39!

As a small family concern, originally employing people in the surrounding areas of Irlam, TalkTalk Business enjoyed the “family firm” atmosphere and ethos.  Although TalkTalk Business has now grown considerably, and moved to Birchwood, I think there are still very strong “family” ties.

There are many examples of extended families at work within TalkTalk Business. Everyone is friendly and helpful to one another.

Many departments within TalkTalk Business have long serving employees who have stayed with the company, and I think this is a testament to the culture and ethos that still exists today.

Anne Smith
Consult Credit Control Manager

We want our teams to be the best they can be – if we support them, they´ll be able to better support our customers. And we want TalkTalk Business to be a place where people can create a long and successful career for themselves.

That´s why we have a Learning and Development team, to make sure we´re giving our people the training and support they need to get ahead and live up to their full potential.

On day 1 your TalkTalk Business journey will commence and you’re guaranteed a warm welcome.

Your Induction will include learning all about TalkTalk Business, what we do, how we work as well as meeting your team and getting familiar with your site.

So that we can get you up and running quickly, it’s really important that you bring all the documents listed in your offer letter with you e.g. passport, P45 etc.
