The number of people using mobile business communications is set to soar in the next five years, according to mobile phone manufacturer Ericsson.
Magnus Ewerbring told delegates at the Mobile Broadband World 2010 event in London that the rise in mobile broadband had "only just started" and that today's 500 million users look set to grow to 3.5 billion by 2015.
He also warned operators that "users will benchmark networks on performance and availability, and if they don't get a good network experience they will be up for grabs from other competitors."
He concluded by predicting that there will be a worldwide total of 50 billion connected devices by 2020, which includes computers hooked up to TalkTalk Business’s mobile broadband at only £6 a month.
