Three-quarters (76 per cent) of SMEs reckon there's still a north-south divide in this country, but help is at hand in the form of technological improvements.
Research carried out by TalkTalk Business has found that three-in-five firms believe that companies in London and the South East get the bulk of government funding and investment, whilst two-thirds (64 per cent) think those areas have access to the most skilled workforce.
However, once technology is taken into account, the mood is very different, with nearly half (47 per cent) believing that business grade broadband levelled the playing field for all companies.
A quarter also believe that high-speed internet helps with e-commerce (24 per cent) and remote working opportunities (23 per cent), with one-in-six (16 per cent) reckoning that next generation technology aids their firm's agility.
TalkTalk Business is committed to work with the government to provide a network that will help the whole of Britain grow. To find out more about our business grade broadband packages, log on to TalkTalkBusiness.co.uk.
