Transfer to TalkTalk Business

From the moment you ask us for help, our core driver before we do anything else is simple; to totally immerse ourselves into your business and understand your core challenges. This is the only way we work and enables us create the ‘best fit’ solution specifically for not just where you are now, but where you want to be in the future.

Designing a solution to fit around you

Our experienced team of technical consultants will ask some challenging questions to help us understand what priorities are most important to you and which applications are critical to running your business. After careful consideration, our team will propose a design which is fully built around your business, rather than trying to shoe-horn your organisation into a pre-defined or convenient solution, like so many other providers. This solution will support your needs, giving full consideration to cost, commercial and technical design, functional requirements against your wish list, implementation with existing systems/operations and what has worked for similar businesses security aspects, implementation concerns and reliability musts, all free of charge.

Choosing TalkTalk Business

Once you choose us as your preferred supplier, we will provide a PID which is in effect, our promise to you; full commercial breakdown, detailed technical specifications, in essence everything you need to know about what it looks like, how it will be implemented and where.

Going Live

We know the daunting part is still to come – getting up and running. At TalkTalk Business, we are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible with minimal disruption. We’ll allocate you a dedicated account manager and a Prince 2 accredited project manager to act as a virtual member of your team, working within your business to ensure a smooth transfer of services and will even liaise with key business stakeholders to guarantee a swift, efficient implementation.

We understand how important it is for you to feel fully up to speed with every aspect of your implementation and feel completely confident about the regular updates you give to your stakeholders. We are committed to keeping your promises and so provide a range of information to keep you up to speed, from change control documentation to understand how the scope is changing from the original accepted tender to regular rag reports, from meeting minutes to installation method statements.

Making sure

For many of our Network solutions, we roll out a ‘parallel build’ which means that old and new will work alongside each other whilst they are stringently tested – only once we’re satisfied that everything is as it should be will we switch off the old network site-by-site. This roll out usually takes around 5 days – what’s more, your sites are only billed once they are live and you won’t be billed until you’re completely happy.

To give you a better view of how thorough our implementation procedures are, here is an example of key milestones on a recent MPLS project:

  1. Initial requirements gathering
  2. First draft solution
  3. Discussions of first draft solution
  4. Amendments and Adjustments as required
  5. Final Solution agreed
  6. Pre-Project Consultancy
  7. PID agreed and signed
  8. Project Commencement
  9. Roll Out
  10. Project Completion
  11. Support process invoked
  12. Sign off and invoicing

On the day your services go live, your transfer team will be on point almost around the clock to make sure everything is on track and to answer any questions you may have.

NB: Please be aware that processes and resourcing may differ depending on the nature and size of the solution undertaken.
