By choosing a next generation technology to support your business needs,, you could be the person who actively drives your business’s information needs over the next five years, unlike many others who content to play costly catch up without daring to look ahead for years to come.
Increasingly, all communications services are moving to IP which allows them to be converged onto the same network. By treating data, voice and video communications as IP packet data services, IP provides the quality, availability and assured speeds these services need. Now IT communications are no longer the limitation to business strategy that they used to be with copper networks and because its delivered over a network built with new technology at its heart, services can be delivered at lower cost too.
With an IPVPN, you team could benefit from speeds starting at 1Mbps for lone workers (at home or mobile), through small sites connected over xDSL. Medium sized sites can use new technologies such as EFM or NGA (both “Ethernet over copper” technologies) or more traditional fibre-Ethernet at 10Mbps; large sites are increasingly connected using 100Mbps or even moving into gigabit connection speeds. Amazing when you think of where we were 10 years ago.
Looking for another solution can be daunting, the switch even more so. We often see customers putting off the decision making process as they don’t know where to start – a plethora of providers all using jargonised language and promises you know they can’t deliver on.
With Opal, it’s different – before we do anything, we fully immerse ourselves in your business to understand your core challenges to create the ‘best fit’ solution specifically for not just where you are now, but where you want to be in the future. Our solution will not only include a full commercial breakdown, detailed technical specifications but also a design statement - in essence everything you need to know about what it looks like, how it will be implemented and where.
Working with you will be a dedicated account manager and a Prince 2 accredited project manager to act as a virtual member of your team, working within your business to ensure a smooth transfer of services and will even liaise with key business stakeholders to guarantee a swift, efficient implementation. Because we are committed to keeping your promises we’ll provide a range of information to keep you and your stakeholders up to speed, from change control documentation to understand if the scope is changing to regular rag reports, from meeting minutes to installation method statements.
For many of our Network solutions, we roll out a ‘parallel build’ which means that old and new will work alongside each other whilst they are stringently tested – only once we’re satisfied that everything is as it should be will we switch off the old network site-by-site. This roll out usually takes around 5 days – what’s more, your sites are only billed once they are live and you won’t be billed until you’re completely happy.
