TalkTalk Business delighted to announce our 'Covid-critical' broadband engineers have been awarded MBEs

The COVID-19 outbreak has been a challenging period for everyone, and here at TalkTalk Business our colleagues have worked extremely hard to help keep the UK connected throughout.

When the pandemic was at its peak earlier this year, there was a huge demand for additional connectivity across sites of National Critical Infrastructure, including NHS hospitals, schools and major food distribution centres. While the delivery of these was a fantastic team effort throughout the business, our Senior Delivery Managers, Peter Harding and Andrew Miller played a crucial part, making themselves available 24/7, constantly developing new processes and collaborating closely with our key Partners, such as Openreach, to deliver an incredible 1,200 connections to sites designated as critical by the Government. Their hard work and ingenuity were instrumental in ensuring these vital connections were delivered in record time and in supporting not only these critical businesses, but all those who depend on their services.

The Queen's Birthday Honours had been delayed this year to recognise the incredible work people have done during the Coronavirus crisis.

With that said, TalkTalk Business are extremely delighted and proud to announce that in recognition for their exceptional efforts, both Peter and Andrew have been awarded MBEs for their outstanding services to telecommunications in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours list on 10th October 2020.

Huge congratulations to you both! Two hardworking and great individuals who make it easier to do your job every day. So very well deserved.
